There is extra space under the hood of the Tundra and our engineers took advantage of this by putting a large round chrome top K&N air filter (RF-1020) to direct more air to the engine. The factory intake tube and factory air box are restrictive. K&N gained the additional horsepower by removing the factory inlet tube and factory air box and replacing it with the bigger and smoother K&N air intake system.
