The K&N ATV filter is custom designed to fit into your existing factory air box. The drop in design means adding performance is simple. Simply remove the disposable air filter and replace it with the K&N filter, there is never any cutting or fitting required.

Unlike disposable filters, K&N air filters use a unique pleated design that captures airborne dirt particles while allowing a high volume of air flow. More air means more power and torque when it is needed. Particles cling to the outside of the filter and actually become part of the filtering media. The K&N (YA-6504) is also washable and reusable.

The (YA-6504) offers your Yamaha Rhino the air it needs to provide the 660 cc powerplant optimum horsepower. It also can increase throttle response and top end power on the workaholic ATV/UTV.

After three days of stiff competition Cohen’s 2005 dragster came through for the veteran racer who has a long list of wins. Cohen also races a 2004 Pontiac Grand Am in Super Gas.

The 48-year-old Dade City, Florida resident started Bracket racing in 1979 and never looked back. He’s won 10 Division Championships, 3 World Championships, 14  NHRA National Events and 12  IHRA National Events.

Cohen said he uses K&N Engineering’s Performance Gold Oil Filter (HP-5001) in his vehicles. It is designed with drilled safety wire holes for racing and a sturdy one-inch wrench nut to make oil filter removal quick and easy. “The K&N filter goes on quick and comes off quick,” he said. “I’ve never had one collapse.”

K&N’s Premium Performance Gold Oil filter has thick canister walls for extra strength and durability to fill a need for racers. The walls reduce the risk of damage from loose rocks and debris.

“The K&N filter works well,” Cohen said. “We’ve never had any problems.” Cohen’s daughter Shelby, 15, is racing in Stock Eliminator. “We’re a busy family,” he said. “I race, my daughter races and there is work in between. I also build a new car every year.”

Cohen’s next two races are coming up. “I have a divisional race in Georgia and then it’s off to the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series in Belle Rose, Louisiana,” he said.

K&N Engineering's Universal Air Filter RU-5147
From racing vehicles to radio controlled cars K&N Engineering makes universal air filters for just about any need.  A new universal air filter, part RU-5147, has just been released that will expand this wide range of applications even further.  If you have a snowmobile, tractor or generator to name a few, one of our K&N Universal Air Filters will probably fit your equipment.

The new  RU-5147 round tapered filter has a 6.5 inch (165 mm) base outside diameter, and a 5 inch (127 mm) flange inside diameter.

The flange length is 1 inch (24mm) which allows plenty of room to clamp around many engine intakes. The height of the filter is 5.5 inches (140 mm) with a top outside diameter of 4.5 inches (114mm).

All K&N universal air filters are constructed with ultra-strong molded pliable rubber edges which absorb vibration and allow for a secure strong attachment that can also be stretched for up to 1/16 inches (1.5mm) to fit in-between sizes.

K&N universal air filters are ideal for extended use in dirty and dusty conditions and are washable and reusable. The K&N (RU-5147) Universal Air Filter like all K&N air filters are work horses. They typically provide longer service intervals and are designed to increase horsepower and acceleration.

Laura Poorter Completes Practice Runs, Ready for Irwindale Ford Focus Midget Race

A fresh new face will emerge Saturday April 1st in the USAC California Ford Focus Midget Series at Irwindale Speedway. Laura Poorter is only 17-years-old, petite and a long way from her native Holland.

Her English is very good and she speaks with a slight accident, but she has mastered the language of the track. Like Wonder Woman, Laura Poorter has the strength to control her K&N Engineering Ford Focus Midget. She has been driving since she was 9-years-old, her first comfort zone was behind the wheel of a mini-kart.

Her desire for speed has taken her thousands of miles away from her family for one reason, and one reason only, to compete. Currently she is staying in a southern California hotel, waiting for her host family to arrive. “I miss my family very much, but my car is really cool,” said Laura. “I like the speed very much.”

Laura spends a majority of her time in her room studying. “I have so much home-work,” she said, like any other teenager. “Economics, Dutch, History and Geography, I have a full load of classes.”

Last week, she had a practice run at Irwindale. “My Ford Focus Midget performed well,” said Laura. “I don’t know how fast I was during the trial runs because there was no one else on the track. We tuned a few things on the midget and it turned out to be a very productive run.”

The Ford Focus Midget Series is a baby in the world of racing. It began in 2002 and is one of the first steps for young drivers who want to go into racing. It is affordable, reliable, entry level racing designed to fill a niche.

Laura raced in Europe and has competed in the same series as several Formula One drivers. She is not afraid and looking forward to her first race on April 1st at Irwindale Speedway. “I’m really excited about my race on Saturday,” she said. K&N Engineering's Sports Marketing Director Charles Maier was impressed my Laura during a race in Belgium last year. This year Laura is part of the K&N family.

Add 11 HP to a 2005 or 2006 Toyota Tundra V-6 4.0L Engine with New K&N Air Intake

The Toyota Tundra is a big part of the so-called commuter pickup market. It's more agile than other full-size pickups, because it's slightly smaller. Even though it's longer than most, Tundra drivers can navigate city streets a lot easier than drivers of really big trucks.

K&N Engineering's 63-9028 AirCharger Intake for the 2005 and 2006 Toyota Tundra
The 2006 model has virtually the same updates as the 2005 Tundra, including an all-new base V-6 4.0 Liter engine. With the addition of K&N Engineering's new 63-Series Intake Kit (63-9028), 2005 and 2006 Tundra owners can realize an 11 horsepower gain.

The Tundra has extra space under the hood and K&N Engineer's were able to put a large cone filter and heat shield under the hood. K&N intakes are designed to dramatically reduce intake restriction as they smooth and straighten air flow. This allows your pickup's engine to use a larger volume of air than the OEM air filter assembly. More air means more power and torque when you need it.

The Tundra is not as full-sized as the Nissan Titan or the domestic pickups, such as the Ford F-150, Dodge Ram, Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra, but it's capable of hauling up to 2025 pounds or towing up to 7100 if it is equipped to do so. With a K&N Air Charger consumers who are towing heavy loads should see a performance difference.

Our 63-Series Intakes are designed to be installed with simple hand tolls in under 90 minutes and include the famous K&N Million Mile Warranty.
