First of i'll start by saying i purchased this for my 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited, w/ the 4.7L H/O engine. My first gripe is the price, which honestly is pretty steep for a few little pieces, thus i expect everything to be perfect, as should everyone else. Everything for mine fit except for the crankcase hose. The hose was too short to do exactly what the instructions said to do, and was not able to fit on existing crankcase tube either if i was to trim the hose to fit over stock tube. Trying to make something work ended up in broken crankcase hosing, as its brittle too. Alas, i think they need to do something about the hose, cause no matter what happened the hose wasn't correct, like half a foot too short.
Giving 3 stars outta principle & facts stated above too. This intake is like $300, for a piece of plastic tube, a filter, and some hardware.

Picked this up for my 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. Works like a dream, and installation is pretty simple for the most part. Great sound, nice power, and it just looks super cool. Decent price.

Great product. Installation was super easy. Noticed gain in power and torque. Also, gives my jeep a very aggressive sounding tone with my aftermarket exhaust. Will use a K&N on every vehicle I own, even my Harley.

Just finished installing (air intake) kit 57-1513-1. Simple, about an hour
and 10 min. 30 mile test run seems to indicate about 1.3 mpg increase.
Itching for a longer trip.

After purchasing a 57 Series FIPK GenII intake for my '02 Jeep Grand Cherokee I had a question about my appliciation. I happen to have the 4.7 HO engine and wanted to make sure there were no differnce between the standard 4.7 V8 and the HO 4.7 V8. I wrote an e-mail the same day my intake arrived and received confirmation that the intake will install with no differences within 2 hours. Great customer service!! Instructions were well writen, the kit is very well designed, and the results are obvious. The intake sounds awesome and almost made my Jeep sound like it has an exhaust system. Thats my next mod. No need to run it on a dyno; you can feel the throtle response, mid-range torque, and HP gains at the top end. Not sure about MPG improvement cause I can't keep my foot off the gas, but if you're worried about your MPG don't own a V8. I've ran K&N intakes on all of my last 4 vehicles and plan to for any future vehicle. Great product!!

Just wanted to send a BIG thank you for creating the K&N FIPK for my 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee with the 4.7 L V-8. Within a week of purchasing the vehicle new I had a K & N filter installed. Since I am a civil hot rod, I kept eyeing your FIPK kit for my vehicle. I decided to buy it and I installed it in early October 2002-something I should have done from the beginning!! What a blast it is to drive now. (This V-8 runs great stock-but is now a monster!) It was very easy to install with the old air box removal taking the most time for installation. I started it up and drove down the street to the first stop sign. From there I floored the accelerator and quickly backed off of it! My engine had turned into something very different than before! It sounded like a beast and runs awesomely!! After the initial shock and the poop eating grin was gone I have enjoyed far more power and increased miles per gallon. My results are over 2 mpg better in town (with mashing the gas peddle!) and way more power than I thought possible. I am ready to see how it runs against other vehicles. Your FIPK kit is a fine investment and it WILL NOT cancel your new vehicle warranty!! Keep up the great work and I am a diligent K & N fan that constantly tells everyone about your products. <br>
