Taylor Nicole Synder is a high-school sophomore from San Diego, California. She is also a dancer, cheerleader and a CORR
(Championship Off Road Racing) Junior 2 Kart Class racer.

She is also the first girl to win in the series and the first girl to be in the top five overall in points

Her father, Loren Snyder said he is her proud crew chief and banker. “When she won her first race, I realized Taylor was wiping the dirt off of her face onto my shirt,” he said. “Besides
her banker and crew chief I also realized I’m her Handi-Wipe.”
Taylor said the pink rim design on her Trophy Kart is a target on the track. “The boys know I’m a girl
because of the pink and they don’t want me to beat them,” she said. “They really come after me
during my races. It’s okay, because I love what I do and I love meeting the fans especially the little girls who want to race one day too.”
Snyder grew up around motorsports, including fast boats and motocross. She has plans to race again next season.

The 2008 NHRA Drag Racing Series season finale at Auto Club Raceway at Pomona rounded out one of K&N’s strongest years in NHRA racing.
“K&N sponsored drivers won National and Divisional events throughout the season which led to two National championships and ten Division championships throughout the seven NHRA Divisions,” said K&N Vice President of Research and Development Steve Williams. “The new pro stock hood scoop is being used on four top contending teams and set top speed at many events. The competitiveness of today’s racers in NHRA competition is at its all time high. Winning is so difficult that it really says a lot about the driver and the team when they can finish in the
top ten Nationally these days.”
K&N sponsored racer Shawn Langdon was the first in NHRA history to win back-to-back Super Comp World Championships. “My K&N dragster scoop and air filter assembly (100-8505) keeps my motor clean, keeps dirt out of the carburetor and helps with engine performance,” he said. “The K&N oil filter (HP-3002) is the best I’ve ever used.”
Langdon started out the 2008 season with 17 consecutive round wins. In the middle of the season things slowed down. After Indy, he stepped it up. He finished 11 points ahead of the pack to earn his second World Championship. Langdon is also the 2008 Lucas Oil Division 3 Super Comp Champion. In addition to his national and divisional championships in Super Comp, Langdon also finished No. 8 in the world in Super Gas. Langdon showed off his true driving talent in Super Gas by racing with borrowed cars throughout the 2008 season.
K&N sponsored racer Dan Fletcher is NHRA Competition Eliminator World Champion as well as the NHRA Lucas Oil Division 7 Champion. He is also in the exclusive league of NHRA drivers who have won fifty or more races. “Thanks to K&N oil filters (HP-3002) my engines have outlasted and outperformed the competition,” he said.
Gary Stinnett, another K&N sponsored racer finished No. 3 in the World in Super Comp. He also finished No. 1 in NHRA Lucas Oil Division 5 points in Super Comp and Super Stock.
Aaron Kinard finished No. 7 in the world in Super Comp and was also the NHRA Division 7 Lucas Oil Super Comp Champion. K&N’s Steve Williams finished No. 8 in the world in Super Comp.
K&N sponsored racer Mike Ferderer finished No. 2 in the world in Super Gas and also earned the Lucas Oil Division 6 Super Gas championship. “My K&N Filters car has been deadly all year,” he said. “My K&N hood scoop and air filter are the reason for some of my best speeds and consistency.” K&N sponsored racer Ray Connolly finished No. 7 in the world in Super Gas.
K&N sponsored racer Jimmy DeFrank finished No. 2 in the World in Super Stock and is the NHRA Lucas Oil Division 7 Super Stock Champion. DeFrank also finished No. 4 in the world in Stock.

A special edition 2008 Toyota Sequoia Platinum Edition, built for Toyota and Sony Mobile Electronics was a feature vehicle at SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) near the Sony Xplod booth at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Nevada.
It was modified with the following products:

“We used the K&N polished intake kit to enhance the platinum edition Toyota,” said Rodney Findley. “When I worked on the car I retained the heat shield to keep engine heat away from the K&N air filter. K&N is known for its superiority. I have the same K&N air intake on my 2008 Toyota Tundra Crew Max and I’ve seen about a 1.7 MPG increase since I installed it. It’s important when you calculate your yearly driving distance, it all adds up to savings.”
Findley said he contacted K&N to use on his project vehicle because of K&N's reputation, history of winning races and quality products.
His next shows will be the World of Wheels and the Spring Break Nationals in Daytona, Florida. In the meantime Findley will participate in the Pinewood Derby. It is a Boy Scout event that is popular nationwide. “We do a United Way charity event at work every year and build 8-12 cars to race them on a pinewood derby track,” said Findley. “They are simply powered by gravity and there are certain rules to follow. This year I had some extra K&N stickers left and I thought it would be fun to put them on.”

He needed one point at the final race at Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, California and got it to take the championship. “The whole season led up to this final race and we are so excited for Steve,” said Team Manager Kenny Watson. “He rode well all season with a total of three wins.”

The other Hart & Huntington Tattoo Supermoto riders also did well during the 2008 season. Travis Marks placed 6th in the race and 5th overall and Doni Wanat Placed 7th in the race and 6th overall in the series.

The 2008 Renault Clio was designed with technology from Formula One. It is heavier and has more power than previous models. The Nissan Qashqai is a compact crossover SUV that has been produced by the Japanese automaker since 2007. The Qashqai is the first model designed in London and made its debut at the 2006 Paris Motor show. The new Nissan Note is sold in Japan and has a new front end design, with new headlights, hood, grille and bumpers.

K&N has designed a 57i air induction kit (57-0676-1) for these three different vehicles, the Renault Clio, Nissan Qashqai and Nissan Note. See the complete list of vehicles below. The chrome top K&N air filter is part of the kit and is supported by a bracket.
It is washable and reusable. K&N 57i induction systems are designed to
increase power and torque for the life of your car.
The 57-0676-1 makes use of the stock intake tube and eliminates the OE air box. It is designed to deliver outside air to the K&N air filter with the flexible hose for additional performance.
The zip ties and brackets allow the K&N air intake system to stay in place. It takes about 90 minutes or less to install this K&N air intake kit with simple hand tools.
The kit comes with three different multi language instruction sheets for the different engine layouts.
