K&N has designed a new air intake system (69-7001TTK) for the 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012 Nissan Sentra with a 2.5 liter engine. K&N dynamometer tests show a 6.69 horsepower gain @ 5900 RPM with this air intake.

It has a black powder-coated finish and is engineered to work within the Sentra’s computer specifications. The mandrel bent K&N intake tube gives an OE look to the performance intake system which allows air to flow with little restriction.

The 69-7001TTK uses the factory fresh air duct to ensure an ample supply of outside air. The use of the fresh air inlet is necessary as the factory air box is located near the back of the engine bay. The mass air sensor adaptor is precision CNC machined, 6062 billet aluminum for accurate mass air flow sensor readings.

A K&N high flow air filter (RU-3700) treated with 0.70 oz of K&N filter oil is included in this air intake system. The K&N washable and reusable air filter is also isolated from high engine temperatures by the heat shield which also contributes to the increase in horsepower. Our air filters are engineered to provide increased surface area for long service intervals and excellent engine protection.

Midget Racer Led 50 Laps to Capture the DuPont Gold Crown Nationals

K&N sponsored Jerry Coons Jr. and the Wilke-PAK Motorsports took home the prize purse in one of the highest paying midget races of the season, the DuPont Gold Crown Midget Nationals.

Coons won the Gold Crown at the Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Illinois. The event showcased 61 of the best midget teams in the country. They competed for over $90,000 in purse money, with a 28 car field receiving $1,000 to participate in the A-main. The USAC National/POWRi co-sanctioned event paid $15,000 to the feature winner.

Coons rolled into Victory Lane after leading all 50 laps from start to finish at the inaugural event. He drove the USAC national midget with a 4-cylinder Gary Station engine powered by Mopar. It weighs about 900 pounds and puts out 385 horsepower.

“We use K&N products because we get better filtration and horsepower,” said Chris Wilke, of Wilke-PAK Motorsports. “We’ve been a family team since the 1930s and have used K&N filters long before we were sponsored by K&N.”

The Gold Crown Midget Nationals showcased some of the best drivers from around the country and was one of the last USAC events of 2008.

The 69-8004TTK features a aluminum intake tube in powder coated black and a K&N carbon fiber top filter (RP-5113). Our lifetime washable and reusable air filter is isolated by a steel heat shield to provide fresh air to the engine.

The horsepower gain is also aided by the radius adaptor’s design as it smoothly takes the 5 inch flange of the air filter and connects it with the air intake tube. The air intake tube has a CNC precision machined billet mass air adaptor.

K&N Releases a New 3 Inch Flange Cone Shaped Universal Air Filter

K&N designs and manufactures a wide variety of universal air filters for many different uses. Regardless of the shape or size, K&N probably has a universal air filter for your specific needs.

K&N's RU-5176 Universal Air Filter.

K&N has released a new round tapered universal air filter (RU-5176). It is constructed with an ultra-strong pliable rubber flange, which absorbs vibration and allows for secure attachment. K&N universal air filter flanges can stretch up to 1/16 inch (1.5 mm) to fit in between sizes.

The RU-5176 is five inches (127 mm) in height with an outside base diameter of six inches (152 mm) and a rubber top that has an outside diameter of five inches (127 mm). The inside diameter of the flange is three inches (76 mm). The flange length is two inches (51 mm), which allows plenty of room to clamp around many engine or motor intakes.

K&N universal air filters are designed to provide increased airflow while providing excellent engine protection. The RU-5176, like all K&N universal air filters, is a washable reusable filter.
