Riders hit the dirt during the final round of the 2009 WORCS Pro ATV series in Mesquite, Nevada, where one ATV rider managed to overcome insurmountable odds. Mike Cafro Racing’s Beau Baron delivered the goods with a little help from his team for their first WORCS Pro ATV Championship.

ATV Racer Josh Row was pulled out of the race during the last lap, but finished the WORCS Pro ATV Championship Series 5th overall in points
“It was really an incredible day,” said Mike Cafro, MCR Team Manager. “Beau’s original strategy for the final round was to ride smart and consistent. He wanted to finish in the top ten, which was all he needed to take the championship. That strategy was blown out of the water when Beau came down hard in the whoops of the third lap.”

Baron’s bike cut out and would not restart. “I thought it was all over,” said Baron. “I was sitting there on the side of the track and then Mike came and towed me back to the pits so we could fix the bike.”
The team worked hard to get Baron back on the track where he made a charge to 11th place. “We wanted to make sure Beau was secure enough to take the championship, so we pulled rider Josh Row off in the last lap,” said Cafro. “This put Beau in tenth place which gave him a little extra security.”
Baron secured the championship. “After everything that happened out there it was an incredible feeling to win,” said Baron. “The whole team came through for me. I could not have done it without them.”
Even though Row was pulled off in the last lap, he ended his season in fifth place in the series points. “Josh has done a great job and is really an asset to the team,” said Cafro.
MRC Team Rider Julie Russell finished second in the Women’s A Class championship points chase. “She worked hard all year and it showed,” said Cafro. “Her lap times became faster at each race.”
Team MCR uses K&N air and oil filters, part numbers
RU-4740,
KN-116 and
HA-4506-T. “K&N is our biggest defense against dust and dirt,” said Cafro. “K&N is always the one product we don’t have to worry about. K&N performs every time.”
Over the next few weeks the team will take some time off before they begin to prepare for the 2010 season. “We’ll be back
in the New Year ready to defend our championship,” said Cafro.

BMW Motorrad has been in the business of building world renowned motorcycles for over 75 years. Many consumers immediately associate BMW with its full line of luxury automobiles, and forget BMW makes equally impressive motorcycles.
Air Filter for 2007 to 2010 BMW G650 XChallenge, XCountry, and XMoto Motorcycles.
BMW Motorrad offers an extensive line of motorcycles. From bikes intended for commuting, off-roading, loaded touring and even competition. Seizing the opportunity to further fill the needs of enthusiasts, BMW introduced the “X” line of motorcycles.
The 2007 “X”, pronounced as “cross”, line was made of three separate, but similar machines. The XMoto is a factory Supermoto motorcycle. The XChallenge resembles a dirt bike and is referred to as a hard enduro. Finally, for those who just couldn’t decide between the two, BMW offers the XCountry. The XCountry falls in between the street-only XMoto and the dirt oriented XChallenge making it a universal dual-sport motorcycle or a "scrambler."
The 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010 BMW G650 XChallenge, XCountry, and XMoto as well as the 2007 to 2011 G650 XChallenge models are all very versatile and powerful machines. K&N has released a new washable/reusable High-Flow Air Filter™ (BM-6507) to meet the demands of these machines and their owners.
This high-flow replacement motorcycle air filter is washable/reusable, pre-oiled and ready to ride. K&N’s BM-6507 is specifically designed to fit into the stock air filter assembly of 2007 to 2010 BMW G650 XChallenge, XCountry, and XMoto as well as the 2007 to 2011 G650 XChallenge models with 652cc engines.
K&N high-flow replacement air filters are performance designed to provide increased airflow, resulting in increased horsepower and torque while providing excellent filtration. Fuel management modifications to your BMW are not necessary to obtain increased performance.
Short course dirt track action is full of excitement. It’s fast paced, full of drama and lots of fun for the drivers and the crowd. The inaugural season in the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series started off at the Primm Valley Motorsports Complex near Las Vegas, Nevada in April.

Short course off road racing is on the agenda for SoCal SuperTrucks in the 2010 season
The drivers, crews and spectators returned to the challenging track in Nevada
in November to start closing out the year. The bone chilling wind in the desert did not stop K&N sponsored racer Ricky James. He dominated the competition in his SoCal SuperTrucks SuperLite and captured both victories in Rounds 11 and 12 of the
LOORRS Series.
SoCal SuperTrucks piloted by Ricky James captured 5 out of 6 victories and one runner-up position this season
Ricky James is ready to capture a $20,000 purse in the Rockstar Energy Lucas Oil Challenge Cup at the Lake Elsinore Motorsports Complex in December
Friday’s qualifying session put James in 2nd position behind UTV Champion, Chad George. The track featured a demanding rhythm section which became somewhat of an obstacle for James throughout the weekend. "The rhythm section consists of double jumps," said Casey Coughlin, co-owner of SoCal Super Trucks. "You jump off of one and land on the backside of the next one. There were three pairs of double jumps in a row. They are really big and spread out so the smaller SuperLite trucks had trouble getting through them cleanly. Timing is critical and that is why it is called the rhythm section."
The truck also had a few issues, but the SoCal SuperTrucks crew worked late into the night to find the problems and fix them. They cleaned the carburetor and replaced the alternator and James was ready for battle.
On Saturday, James and George went ahead of the pack after the green flag. It looked as if it would be a fight to the finish until George became a casualty of the rhythm section and flipped his truck several times. The crash allowed James to finish the race uncontested and take the victory.
James completely dominated Sunday’s Bully Dog Super Lite Race after the second lap of racing. He spun out on the first lap which brought him back to 6th position, but quickly advanced to the lead on the second lap. James won by more than 10 seconds.
James started the LOORRS 2009 Season late. He was a newcomer to the sport of four- wheel off road racing, but captured five out of six victories this season and one runner-up position.
James was paralyzed from the chest down in a motocross racing accident in 2005. SoCal SuperTrucks outfitted the Super Lite race truck with hand controls that allow James to control the throttle, brake, clutch and shifting with his left hand. This allows him to steer with his right hand.
“We make progress every time we take the truck out,” said Coughlin. “There is a learning curve to short course racing and we’ve given Ricky a good solid truck and he’s getting great results. We also put the best products available on the truck. K&N is always on top of our list. K&N gives us excellent power and filtration and protects our engines. Without the help and support of K&N we would not be sitting on the podium.”
“I want to thank everyone who helped me win over the weekend,” said James. “These victories are a team effort.”
James will next race in the Lucas Oil Challenge Cup, December 11-12 at Lake Elsinore Motorsports Complex in Lake Elsinore, California. James will be competing for an early Christmas present with a $20,000 prize purse in the Super Lite Class.

Air Intake for 2008 to 2012 Ford Fiesta V1.
Ford spent considerable time developing the new Fiesta, as it is part of Ford’s global strategy to once again become profitable. Ford plans to introduce the Fiesta to additional markets, including Asia, Australia and North America. The Fiesta is slotted to arrive in the U.S.A by early 2010 as a 2011 model.
Part number 57-0686 is a K&N 57i series air induction system that fits 2008 to 2011 Ford Fiesta VI models with 1.25-liter, 1.4-liter, and 1.6-liter L4 engines and the 2012 Ford Fiesta VI with the 1.25-liter. This intake system replaces the potentially restrictive factory air box with a conical shaped, chrome-top, K&N high-flow, washable and reusable lifetime air filter. K&N air filters capture harmful particles, provide high airflow, and long service life.
K&N air intake systems are designed to free vehicles from the restriction of the original factory air box. This allows a virtually unrestricted flow of air to reach the engine for more power and performance when you need it. 57-0686 is designed with attachments that are vehicle specific which help direct outside air toward the air intake. K&N rolling road tests showed positive power gains.
With a K&N air intake system, consumers can count on extra horsepower whether maneuvering amongst city traffic, or winding through the countryside. The 57-0686 air intake takes about 90 minutes or less to install and is covered by the K&N Million Mile Limited Warranty®.
