K&N's new HD air filters are designed to have the same efficiency as the
standard OEM replacement HD filters while flowing up to 15% more air. In
addition, K&N's HD air filters do not require the use of oil and can be
easily cleaned multiple times with power sprayers or commercial parts
washers. This specific filter mounts flange side up within the included 90 degree canister.
It comes with a specially designed drain valve in the bottom for allowing water to escape.

more.
The filter itself is a reversed flow filter, engineered to flow the air through the inside to the outside. This
reversed flow heavy duty air filter fits many applications including some Tiffin motor homes.
It has a 7 inch inlet flange and a 7 inch outlet flange. The hybrid filter media is a lofted red color synthetic material on the inside of the filter. This design allows for excellent filtration and engine protection by depth loading dirt and contaminants into the media itself rather than loading it
only on the surface. This is unlike most disposable air filters which only collect dirt and dust on the filtration
outer surface, which can cut off air flow and performance in a shorter
period of time. Restriction also works your engine harder.
Easy cleaning of the 38-2009R
is a key feature of this filter's design. Unlike other K&N products that require gentle washing, the 38-2009R only needs to be removed from its mounting canister and soaked with cleaner on the inside
(dirty side) of the filter, then washed thoroughly with a power sprayer on the outside
(clean side) surface until all of the cleaner and dirt is removed. After
drying the filter is ready for use and backed with K&N's factory warranty for 300,000 miles.
Tiffin motor homes and other vehicles that use a Farr 094973007, Racor 094973007,
or Parker 094973007 air filter can benefit greatly from the K&N new washable

air filter. Other manufacturers sometimes refer to this filter as an
ECO BC series air filter or a behind the cab replacement intake air filter.

Bud Kaeding proved he has no problem getting it done without a wing by winning the Knoxville Non-Wing Nationals at the famed Knoxville Raceway.
Campbell, California's Brandon "Bud" Kaeding has been smoking hot this year, putting together some of the most impressive stats of his career in 2010. The three-time and defending USAC Silver Crown champ recently continued his scorching pace in the Midwest, highlighted by a pair of huge victories.
With a 42 point lead Kaeding looks to become the first ever four-time USAC Silver Crown Series champion.
While competing with some of the top non-wing sprint car drivers across the country Kaeding showed that he can still get it done without the wing, by scoring a victory at the Knoxville Raceway Non-Wing Nationals, and then he backed it up with another big triumph during the Ultimate Challenge at the Southern Iowa Speedway in Oskaloosa.
"You couldn't ask for a better couple nights than we had two weeks ago," said the driver of the BK Motorsports number 29 Maxim 410 sprint car. "This year has been great, I think I am jelling with the team's I am racing with, and I am getting the chance to bring my same crew guys around each car I race. There is a huge difference between the two cars, the driving styles and footwork are so opposite from each other. But I love driving anything especially when we are running good, it makes it a lot more fun."
"Any time you can win a race at Knoxville it is a special thing no matter what you're driving and then winning at Oskaloosa was pretty awesome too," added Kaeding. "The Ultimate Challenge has become such a big race and to get it on my resume is pretty cool."
Kaeding extended his current points lead to 42, as he looks to become the first ever four-time USAC Silver Crown Series champion with just four nights of racing left in the season.
"Even though we haven't won a Silver Crown race yet this year we have been really consistent and have been fast every night," said Kaeding. "It would be a big accomplishment if we could bring home that fourth title and we're in a great position to do that, so hopefully everything works out the last few races and we can make some history. Winning the first one was like a dream come true, and now to be going for our fourth, well, it's a huge deal for me and my entire team."
This weekend Kaeding returns to winged sprint car competition in the 50th running of the Johnny Key Classic on Saturday night at the Ocean Speedway in Watsonville, California. Kaeding, now 30, was the winner of the prestigious event in 1996, when he 16-years-old.
"I really would like to thank the guys at K&N, we have had a long going relationship and I want to let you know it helps us out big time. Thanks for all the continued support."
The Ford Edge is a stylish crossover SUV that is fun to drive. With ample room for 5 adults, generous amounts of cargo space, a solid aggressive stance, responsive handling, and EPA-rated 18/25 mpg City/Highway fuel economy, the Edge makes a lasting impression on anyone who gets behind the wheel. Now, dedicated Edge enthusiasts can increase their vehicle's performance with the addition of a K&N Cold Air Intake System!

Ford Edge 3.5L with K&N air intake installed.
K&N Engineering's latest addition to its lineup of performance products is the 77-2574KS air intake system. This intake is designed for the 2007-2010 Ford Edge equipped with a 3.5L V6 engine. The 77-2574KS replaces the Edge's factory air filter and air intake equipment with a new design which reduces restriction in the air intake path and increases the Edge's available horsepower and torque. K&N engineers designed the 77-2574KS out of mandrel-bent aluminum tubing, which is powdercoated silver to add a little "eye candy" underneath the hood. A large cone-shaped K&N air filter (part number RF-1042) stands guard at the tube's inlet, keeping dust and dirt out of the engine while still allowing air to pass through with minimal restriction, and a powdercoated heat shield isolates the air filter from hot air underneath the hood. This combination delivers an impressive additional 11.21 horsepower and 10.15 lb/ft. torque at 5797 RPM, according to testing performed on K&N's dynamometer.
The RF-1042 air filter included with this intake is washable and reusable, so when the filter gets dirty you can simply wash it out and reuse it instead of throwing your air filter away and buying a new one. In most driving conditions, the filter can go up to 100,000 miles before cleaning is necessary. Installing the 77-2574KS on your Ford Edge is easy, thanks to photo-illustrated instructions, and only requires the use of simple hand tools. The 77-2574KS is backed by K&N's Million Mile Limited Warranty and Consumer Protection Pledge, and is compatible with your vehicle's engine management software so no vehicle modifications are necessary in order to realize this added performance.
With his win at Salem DeCaire now sit atop the MSRXSS points race.
"It always feels good to put together the type of season we have had this year," remarked sprint car racing phenom Troy DeCaire. "I wouldn't say we have found any one thing - I'd have to say it's just a product of hard work paying off."
In the same week, Troy DeCaire earned a top-ten finish with the USAC Silver Crown Series, and got his first MSRXSS victory.
At only 24 years old the K&N sponsored racer has already collected 20 years of driving experience. DeCaire understands hard work as well as he does dedication. "I was born and raised in Tampa, Florida," said DeCaire, "but I made the move to Indy this April to pursue my racing career."
Whatever he's doing is working, Troy DeCaire recently continued his open wheel hot streak by bringing home a top-ten finish with the USAC Silver Crown Series at Berlin Raceway, and then followed that up with a well deserved and very popular win with the Must See Racing Xtreme Sprint Series (MSRXSS) at Salem Speedway in Indiana.
"This has been an amazing week for me, first with the USAC Silver Crown car and now, finally, a win with the Must See Racing Sprint Series," said DeCaire. "In the Silver Crown race, I worked my way up to seventh, but I cut a tire and drifted back to tenth, so that was a little tough. But everything came right for us Saturday night at Salem Speedway."
In speaking about the Must See Racing Xtreme Sprint Series DeCaire says, "I think it's a great series that has a lot of potential to not only help drivers and teams get noticed, but I think it's great for pavement sprint car racing too. They're getting some of the best racing in the country out to an audience that may not be exposed to it."
The MSRXSS offers what they refer to as "Racefanstv" with International Distribution and a 24/7 Must See Racing Channel. Their program has a National Distribution potential of over 90 million households.
"And, being the points leader in such a promising series makes me extremely proud of what kind of program myself and the people supporting me have worked to put together," adds DeCaire.
Next up DeCaire will be competing on the dirt at Macon, Illinois with the POWRi Midget Series. After that it's over to Slinger Speedway with more of the Must See Racing Xtreme Sprint Series, and then on to Winchester Speedway, competing with the USAC Sprint Car Series.
