Ford's smallest car was revamped in 2005, for more power and new styling outside
and in. The 2005 Focus packs a little more power than the 2004.
Air Intake for the 2005 Ford Focus
K&N Engineering has designed a new Generation II 57-Series Fuel Injection
Performance Kit (57-2559)
that will add power to the 2005 Ford Focus 2.3L and 2005 Ford Focus 2.0L excluding the PZEV models.
Dyno-testing revealed that this K&N FIPK (57-2559)
added 11.85 horsepower at 5797 RPM. By replacing the restrictive factory airbox
your engine will get more air with less restriction. More air means more usable
power and acceleration throughout the engines RPM range. "We put the FIPK toward
the front of the car," said K&N Performance Kit Manger Bert Heck. "We had to
mold the tube and tune it to the vehicle for the power gain."
K&N began with one of its famous Extreme Top High-Flow Air Filters (RX-4990).
The Air Filter can be washed and re-oiled with a K&N cleaning kit.
The K&N filter attaches to an aerodynamically designed intake tube that's made
of polyethylene. "The tube was designed to keep the cool air on the intake
side," said Heck. "The power gain is really good considering the size of the
motor."
Installation is easily completed for the FIPK
(57-2559)
in 90 minutes or less with simple hand tools. No drilling is required, and the
57-Series air intake includes illustrated instructions as well as all the necessary
mounting hardware. It also comes with K&N's famous Million Mile Limited
Warranty.
In 2003 Mercury resuscitated the Marauder, which disappeared in 1970. Drawing on
its 60s heritage, the new version has a full set of retro satin-aluminum
analogue gauges to compliment a muscle car image.
Air Intake for 2003 and 2004 Mercury Marauder
K&N Engineering has developed a 57-Series Fuel Injection Performance Kit (57-2563)
that will add 17.32 horsepower. By replacing your factory air intake assembly
with K&N's 57 Series FIPK for the 2003, 2004 Mercury Marauder 4.6L V6 your
engine gets more air with less restriction.
"This is a performance vehicle," said K&N Performance Kit Manager Bert Heck. "We
added a lot of power to this muscle car with our (57-2563)
FIPK."
The 57-Series Intake Kit consists of high-flow K&N Air Filter (RF-1041)
that can go up to 100,000 miles between cleanings depending on driving
conditions.
Covered by the famous K&N Million Mile Limited Warranty, the 57-Series Intake
Kit is easy to install using simple hand tools in 90 minutes or less.
GTO, some consider it the most revered three letters among the Pontiac faithful.
More than 40 years ago, the original Pontiac GTO launched the muscle car. The
Pontiac GTO legend continues and is enhanced by the 2004 model. It is not an exercise in
nostalgia, but an update on the first muscle car concept and packs quite a
punch.
Air Intake Kit for 2004 Pontiac GTO
For a bigger punch K&N Engineering has a Generation II 57-Series Fuel Injection
Performance Kit (57-3044)
for the 2004 Pontiac GTO 5.7L V8. K&N tests have shown an 18.54 horsepower gain
at 5818 RPM with this intake.
By replacing the Pontiac GTO's factory air intake assembly with K&N's 57-Series
Fuel Injection Performance Kit the engine gets cool, dense air with less
restriction. The K&N FIPK air intake uses K&N's high-flow, washable and reusable air filter (RF-1048)
which performs up to 100,000 miles before service is required (depending on
driving conditions).
"This was tricky because the engine compartment is not that big on the GTO,"
said K&N Performance Kit Manager Bert Heck. "Our engineers built it and it has
great power."
K&N's FIPK (57-3044)
can be installed in 90 minutes or less with simple hand tolls and lasts up to
100,000 miles before service is required (depending on driving conditions). It
also comes with the famous K&N Million Mile Limited Warranty.
K&N Engineering has released a new 57-Series Generation II Fuel Injection
Performance Kit (57-3039)
for the 1998,1997, 1996 GMC C1500 4.3L V6, the 1998, 1997, 1996 Chevrolet C1500
4.3L V6 and the 1997, 1996 GMC K1500 4.3L V6.
Air Intake for Chevy, GMC C1500 and K1500
The Pre-Silverado models were some of General Motors best selling vehicles. With
traditional truck styling faithful Chevrolet buyers know a good full-sized truck
with a powerful V6 engine. By replacing your factory air intake assembly with
K&N's 57-Series FIPK (57-3039),
your engine will get more air with less restriction. More air means more usable
power and acceleration throughout the engines RPM range.
Dynamometer tests at K&N Engineering's lab show a 6.02 horsepower gain at 4476
RPM for the 1996 GMC 1500 4.3L.
"We wanted to make sure our customers got great performance," said K&N
Performance Kit Manger Bert Heck. "We already have an Intake Kit for the V8, so
putting one together for the V6 was a necessity."
The FIPK (57-3039)
uses K&N's high-flow, washable and reusable air filter (RF-1040)
which performs up to 100,000 miles before service is required (depending on
driving conditions). FIPK's also come with the famous K&N Million Mile Limited
Warranty.
Installation is purely bolt-on and uses factory holes: the average time to replace the stock airbox and intake track with an FIPK
is about 90 minutes. The kit comes compete with all mountain hardware, silicon
hose adapters and stainless-steel clamps.
The 1955 Ford Thunderbird celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2005 and Ford
marked that date with the 2005 Thunderbird. Reborn in 2002, it's Ford's answer
to the nostalgia business.
Air Intake Kit for 2003, 2004 and 2005 Ford Thunderbird
K&N Engineering can make the T-Bird add horsepower with a new 57-Series
Generation II Fuel Injection Performance Kit (57-2562).
The FIPK is for the 2003, 2004 and 2005 Ford Thunderbird 3.9 L V8. K&N's Dyno
tests show a 15.69 horsepower gain at 6000 RPM.
The 57-Series (57-2562)
features three main aerodynamically engineered components: a famous K&N
High-Flow Replacement Air Filter (RC-4630),
a metal heat shield and a polyethylene intake tube that has been routed for
optimal performance.
The K&N High-Flow Replacement Air Filter can be repeatedly washed and re-oiled
with a K&N cleaning kit. Service intervals can be up to 100,000 miles
depending on driving conditions.
The K&N FIPK air intake also includes illustrated instructions along with all the mounting
hardware. The average Thunderbird owner can bolt on the 57-Series FIPK in less
than 90 minutes with simple hand tools. It also comes with the famous K&N
Million Mile Limited Warranty.
