With all the different possible modifications that can be made on vehicles today, using products that look great and fit the job is key. When it comes to universal clamp-on air filters, K&N is the perfect source as they offer hundreds of filters in almost every size and shape you could need.
Adding to this big list of clamp-on air filters are four new inverted top air filters. The inverted top gives the filter more surface area for higher air flow capability and a long service life. These four universal air filters differ from typical universal filters in that they have an adjustable inlet flange allowing for the same air filter to be used with a 3 inch, 3.5 inch or 4 inch round intake tube. The flange size is controlled by using or not using two included inserts. K&N parts RG-1001RD, RG-1001BL, RG-1001WT have a base diameter of 6 inches and they are 5 1/2 inches tall. The only difference between these three air filters is the color of their filter media. RG-1001RD is red, RG-1001BL is blue and RG-1001WT is white. K&N part RG-1002RD has a base diameter of 6 inches but it is 9 1/2 inches tall. It has red filter media. Like other K&N universal air filters these filters use an ultra-strong molded pliable rubber flange, which absorbs vibration and allows for secure attachment.
