The replacement K&N air filter, number E-0665, will fit the stock air filter box of 2014-2016 Chevrolet C7 Corvette Stingray Models With 6.2-liter V8 Engine

Chevrolet introduced the Corvette in 1953 and turned the American automobile market upside down. Few people could have guessed how much the Corvette would impact cars and drivers for generations to come. Now in its seventh generation of production, also referred to as C7, the Chevrolet Corvette incorporates cutting edge technology such as the all-new 6.2-Liter V8 engine. Chevrolet boasts 460 horsepower, a zero to sixty mph time of just 3.8 seconds, all while averaging an EPA estimated 29 highway miles per gallon. Despite leading the industry in performance, the 2014, 2015 and 2016 Corvette is equipped with a rather low-tech disposable air filter inside the air filter box. Here to inject some high-flow technology into the 2014-2016 Chevy Corvette air filter box is the new K&N high-flow stock replacement air filter number E-0665.

K&N high-flow replacement air filters are made with cotton instead of paper. K&N’s high-flow cotton gauze air filters provide less restriction than typical paper air filters, which can increase the efficiency of the combustion process. Allowing your engine to breathe easier can give your car extra horsepower and extra acceleration that can come in handy, even during every day driving. Performance filter E-0665 is designed as an air filter cross reference to the stock paper filter which makes a K&N replacement air filter an easy to install performance upgrade.

Some might be worried that an increase in airflow comes at the expense of filtration efficiency and engine protection. K&N performs filtration efficiency testing following the internationally recognized ISO 5011 protocol to guarantee that our air filters will provide high airflow without sacrificing engine protection. When tested using ISO Coarse test dust, part number E-0665, for the 2014, 2015 and 2016 Corvette was shown to have a 98.46% overall efficiency rating. Calling this test dust coarse is almost preposterous, as 22% of the dust is rated at 10 microns or less. To provide perspective, a human blood cell is typically between 6 and 8 microns across.

K&N air filter, number E-0665, is designed as an air filter cross reference for the stock disposable air filter and will fit inside the air filter box of the 2014-2016 Chevrolet C7 Corvette Stingray

Another benefit to making a K&N air filter from cotton instead of paper is the ability to wash and reuse the filter meaning it never needs to be replaced. Part number, E-0665, will require cleaning every 50,000 miles under normal highway driving conditions. Cleaning a K&N air filter is a simple four-step process using one of the K&N Recharger air filter service kit 99-5000, includes 12 fluid ounces of air filter cleaner and a 6.5 ounce aerosol bottle of air filter oil for quick and easy application. K&N Recharger air filter service kit 99-5050, differs in that it includes an 8 ounce squeeze bottle of K&N filter oil for a more precise application.

K&N air filters for Chevrolet C7 Corvette Stingray with a 6.2-liter V8 engine offer a lifetime of performance. Since part number E-0665 never needs to be replaced, over time it will pay for itself and help reduce waste. K&N stock replacement air filters for street vehicles are covered by our famous K&N Million Mile Limited Warranty® and will be the last air filter your 2014-2016 6.2L Chevy Corvette will ever need. Replacement K&N air filter number E-0665 is designed to fit the stock air filter box without modification in the following Chevrolet Corvette models:

2015 Chevrolet Corvette 6.2L V8

K&N Releases First Of Its Kind Washable & Reusable Line of Automotive Cabin Air Filters

A K&N washable and reusable automotive cabin air filter is the first of its kind. The ability to clean and reuse an automotive cabin air filter is currently an exclusive feature offered by K&N

A K&N washable and reusable automotive cabin air filter is the first of its kind. The ability to clean and reuse an automotive cabin air filter is an important feature offered by K&N

In 1969 K&N threw the world a curve ball with a washable and reusable high-flow air filter and made K&N famous around the globe. At the time, filtration technology was limited to disposable and restrictive engine air filters. K&N founders, Ken Johnson and Norm McDonald (K&N), were avid motorcycle desert racers who became irritated with restrictive air filters that quickly became clogged with dirt and could not be cleaned. Their frustration inspired innovation and the washable / reusable K&N High-Flow Air Filter was born.

K&N cabin air filters trap dust, pollen, debris and pollutants as well as help control mold, mildew, spores, fungus, bacteria and germs to provide clean air for the driver and passengers

Forty-five years later K&N is once again turning the world on its head with the release of washable and reusable automotive cabin air filters. While a cabin air filter is part of your car, it isn’t just the car that benefits from the filtration a cabin air filter provides. Automotive cabin air filters are designed to filter the incoming air being breathed by the driver and passengers. Cabin air filters trap dust, pollen, debris and pollutants that might make it into a vehicle’s passenger compartment through the ventilation system. Breathing clean air while driving is especially important to those who suffer from allergies or breathing difficulties.

Replacing a dirty or clogged cabin air filter, like the one seen above, helps protect passengers as well as the vehicle’s heating and air conditioning system

Replacing a dirty or clogged cabin air filter, like the one seen above, helps protect passengers as well as the vehicle’s heating and air conditioning system

Automotive cabin air filters are a fairly new concept and have only recently become integrated into the air conditioning/heating system of many U.S. market vehicles. Somewhere in the neighborhood of 80% of all new vehicles are equipped with a cabin air filter, or a place where one can be installed. Because cabin air filters are a relatively new idea, many vehicle owners do not realize their car is equipped with a cabin air filter, let alone the importance of changing it. A dirty or clogged cabin air filter can be the source of musty odors inside the vehicle while also impeding airflow into the passenger compartment causing heating or air conditioning problems. Replacing a cabin air filter is a simple, but important, piece of preventative maintenance that helps protect passengers and the vehicle’s heating and air conditioning system.

Most cabin air filters can be replaced without tools and are commonly found under the hood near the windshield, underneath the dashboard, or behind the glove compartment

Most cabin air filters can be replaced without tools and are commonly found under the hood near the windshield, underneath the dashboard, or behind the glove compartment

The first step in replacing a vehicle’s cabin air filter is to determine if it is equipped with one. The owner’s manual is an excellent source to reference cabin air filter replacement intervals and pinpoint the location of the filter. If the owner’s manual doesn’t mention a cabin air filter, chances are pretty good the vehicle is not equipped with a cabin air filter. Cabin air filter location will vary by vehicle make and model but is generally found in one of three places. Most often a cabin air filter can be found under the hood near the windshield, underneath the dashboard, or behind the glove compartment. Most cabin air filters can be replaced without tools but some require basic hand tools to open the cabin air filter compartment. The recommended replacement interval also varies by vehicle manufacturer, but is typically between 12,000 and 15,000 miles under average driving conditions. Areas with higher than normal amounts of dust, pollen, pollution, and even leaves will require more frequent service.

K&N Cabin Air Filters use a single layer of synthetic material as a physical barrier pleated between wire screens and molded into a urethane frame for the ability to be cleaned repeatedly

K&N Cabin Air Filters use a single layer of synthetic material as a physical barrier pleated between wire screens and molded into a urethane frame for the ability to be cleaned repeatedly

K&N Cabin Air Filters use a single layer of thermally bonded nonwoven synthetic material as a physical barrier to trap dust, pollen, leaves and other debris. With the aid of K&N’s Refresher spray, an electrostatic charge is able to help capture many types of mold, mildew, spores, fungus, bacteria and germs while helping to control odors. K&N Cabin Air Filters are designed to meet factory filtration requirements and typically flow more air than the average disposable paper cabin air filter. Many cabin air filters on the market are a simple paper element lacking structure. K&N Cabin Air Filters are built with molded urethane and wire screen ensuring long life, and the ability to be cleaned repeatedly.

K&N recommends servicing its cabin air filters every 12,000 miles or more often for allergy sufferers, those with breathing difficulties, or vehicles in dirtier than normal environments

K&N recommends servicing its cabin air filters every 12,000 miles or more often for allergy sufferers, those with breathing difficulties, or vehicles in dirtier than normal environments

The ability to wash and reuse a filter is perhaps the most important feature offered by the new line of K&N cabin air filters. K&N Cabin Air Filters allow owners to clean their filter as often as necessary without incurring the cost of buying disposable filters over and over again. This is excellent news for allergy sufferers, those with breathing difficulties, or vehicles operated in dirtier than normal environments. K&N recommends servicing its cabin air filters at least every 12,000 miles. K&N Cabin Air Filters can be cleaned in a few simple steps with the new K&N Refresher Kit 99-6000. The 99-6000 Refresher kit is not to be confused with K&N’s traditional Recharger kit used for our high-flow engine air filters. Because the technology in our cabin air filters is different, the two cleaning kits cannot be substituted for one another. Each 99-6000 Refresher cabin air filter cleaning kit includes cleaning instructions.

A K&N washable and reusable automotive cabin air filter is the first of its kind. The ability to clean and reuse a cabin air filter is currently an exclusive feature offered by K&N in the U.S. automotive market segment. Over time a K&N Cabin Air Filter will pay for itself when compared to purchasing disposable filters time and again. K&N is so confident in its cabin air filters that they are covered by a 10-year/100,000 mile limited warranty.

To find a cabin air filter for your car, truck, or SUV please use the K&N search by vehicle tool. New cabin air filters are being developed all the time, and if K&N does not currently offer a filter for your vehicle, please request that K&N makes one using the online product request

Ricky Johnson, two-time Pro-4 truck champion, had victory in his sights during Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing round 11 in Sparks, Nevada but a driving error forced him to make up lost ground

The Red Bull sponsored race team of Menzies Motorsports had an incredible weekend of Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing at Wild West Motorsports Park in Sparks, Nevada. The two driver team of Ricky Johnson, number 48, and Bryce Menzies, number 7, made the podium in each of their classes in the double-header race weekend.

Ricky Johnson, RJ for short, contested the Pro-4 four-wheel-drive class in both rounds 11 and 12 of the Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing series. Ricky Johnson qualified third for the round 11 main event in his number 48 Red Bull truck. Johnson, who is a two-time Pro-4 champion, was able to make a pass for the lead after just a few laps into the main. He held onto the lead until lap six when contact with a concrete barrier let the entire field come past him. Johnson isn’t one to give up easily. He spent the remainder of the race battling toward the front and would finish third.

Bryce Menzies, seen here with fellow Pro-2 truck driver Carl Renezeder, was determined to make up for the third place finish in LOORS round 11 by winning the race in round 12

The number 48 Red Bull Energy Pro-4 race truck piloted by Ricky Johnson had similar misfortune in the LOORS round 12 main event and he once again had to fight back toward the front

Bryce Menzies, in the number 7 Red Bull truck, had an excellent qualifying run with the fastest lap time in the Pro-2 two-wheel-drive truck class. LOORS imposed an inverted start to mix things up a bit and as a result Bryce had to start the round 11 main event in fourth place. Bryce drove his Red Bull Pro-2 truck past the number 38 truck piloted by Brian Deegan after a multi-lap battle for the lead. Bryce opened a significant gap between his number 7 Red Bull truck and the second place driver until a caution flag bunched the field together with only three laps to go. On the restart Brian Deegan shot to the lead and Bryce was unable to work his way back to the front. Bryce Menzies would finish third in the Red Bull Pro-2 truck.

Bryce Menzies finished third in LOORS round 11 and came back in round 12 to drive the Red Bull Menzies Motorsports Pro-2 truck to a decisive victory at Wild West Motorsports Park

Ricky Johnson had similar luck during the round 12 main event the following day. This time, however, contact with another driver caused Johnson to spin out. Once again Johnson would fight his way from the back of the pack to another third place finish in the Pro-4 class. Like the Pro-4 class, history nearly repeated itself in the Pro-2 main event for Bryce Menzies. Although, once Bryce got to the front in Round 12, he would remain there eventually leading the second place driver by 15 truck lengths. Bryce Menzies would take the top spot on the podium in Pro-2 for round 12.

Although Menzies Motorsports is a little disappointed in “what could have been” for rounds 11 and 12, both team drivers were able to make it on the podium in every race. This is the first time Menzies Motorsports has been able to accomplish this all season. The next Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing event will be at Menzies Motorsports’ home track at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Nissan Juke and Juke NISMO 1.6L Makes More Power with K&N Short Ram Intake System

K&N Air Intake System 69-7079TS is powdercoated in a silver color to protect the tube and look good under the hood of the 2013 to 2014 Nissan Juke and Juke NISMO turbo models

The Nissan Juke is a sporty turbocharged crossover SUV from the Nissan Motor Corporation. The standard Nissan Juke is equipped with a 1.6-liter direct injected turbocharged engine rated at 188 horsepower. In 2013 Nissan introduced a NISMO (Nissan’s motorsports and performance division) tuned Juke and cranked up power output another 9 horsepower and 7 lb-ft of torque.

Short Ram Intake System 69-7079TS from K&N Air Filters is designed to increase horsepower and torque for turbocharged 2013 to 2014 Nissan Juke and Juke NISMO 1.6L models

Short Ram Intake System 69-7079TS from K&N Air Filters is designed to increase horsepower and torque for turbocharged 2013 to 2014 Nissan Juke and Juke NISMO 1.6L models

The small, but energetic, 1.6L turbocharged engine found in 2013, and 2014 Nissan Juke and Juke NISMO models makes for a fun-to-drive crossover SUV, but reducing air intake restriction can help this turbo engine perform even better. Owners seeking some extra boost in the power department can now install the 69-7079TS K&N performance short ram intake system. By replacing the maze of air ducting, stock air filter box, and disposable car air filters, K&N intake systems are able to reduce restriction and increase power.

Dyno Chart - An otherwise stock 2013 Nissan Juke NISMO 1.6L turbo gained an estimated 7.23 more horsepower and an estimated 6.32 lb-ft of torque with a K&N Air Filters short ram intake system

Dyno Chart - An otherwise stock 2013 Nissan Juke NISMO 1.6L turbo gained an estimated 7.23 more horsepower and an estimated 6.32 lb-ft of torque with a K&N Air Filters short ram intake system

69-7079TS from K&N is precision-engineered to be a simple-to-install performance add-on. The backbone of this intake system is a free-flowing mandrel-bent aluminum intake tube which helps to minimize restriction, allowing your engine to breathe easier. The larger than stock 2-3/4 inch intake tube is mated to the original equipment throttle body with a reinforced stepped coupler. A durable silver color powder coated finish is applied to the tube, providing an attractive appearance under the hood that will look great for years to come.

K&N equips the 69-7079TS with the oversized RC-5128 chrome-top reusable air filter, providing a large surface to help increase airflow without sacrificing engine protection. The reusable air filter is made with K&N’s famous high-flow filter media so it’s a washable and reusable air filter that can go up to 100,000 miles between cleanings, depending on driving conditions. A heat shield shrouds the air filter under the hood, helping to deflect engine heat away from incoming air and this short ram intake also retains the factory fresh air inlet.

All of the design features of the 69-7079TS performance air intake system work in harmony to deliver increased performance. On the dyno, 69-7079TS produced an estimated additional 7.23 horsepower at 5936 rpm and an equally beneficial 6.32 pound-feet of torque at 4037 rpm over the factory air filter box system when installed on an otherwise stock 2013 Nissan Juke NISMO 1.6L turbo.

The 69-7079TS performance air intake system is an excellent upgrade for 2013, and 2014 Nissan Juke and Juke NISMO models with the 1.6L turbo engine. With simple to follow instructions and no need to make any other modifications to the vehicle, you’ll be on the road in approximately 90 minutes with more horsepower under your right foot.

If all that weren’t enough, K&N backs the 69-7079TS with the industry-leading K&N Million Mile Limited Warranty®. If you’re looking to bring your 2013 and 2014 Nissan Juke S or SV up to par with the NISMO edition, or looking to take your Juke NISMO to the next level, look no further than the 69-7079TS Typhoon short ram intake system.
