The 55th annual Circle K Winternationals on February 5 through 8 in Pomona, California will signal the beginning of the 2015 NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series. The Auto Club Raceway at Pomona will once again host the event described as one of drag racing’s grandest traditions. The start of a new season means new cars, drivers, teams, and sponsors will be revealed for the first time. The historic track in Pomona, California is known for being fast, smooth, and the location of many record setting runs. With everything new to see, and an exciting weekend of racing, NHRA fans will be equally entertained by what takes place on track as well as everything going on in the pits.

K&N sponsored NHRA drag racer Peter Biondo is the reigning NHRA Super Stock Champion, his fifth championship in this class, and will begin his 2015 season with the Circle K NHRA Winternationals in Pomona, California. Not only does the competition get tougher, but priorities change.” Peter and his wife welcomed a new baby boy into their lives in August of 2014 and as Peter explained “We’re busy as parents, and it definitely makes it harder to get on an airplane or to jump in a motorhome to go racing each weekend!” Another NHRA National Champion and K&N supported driver, Justin Lamb, is looking forward to kicking off the 2015 NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series season at the Circle K NHRA Winternationals. The third generation 2007-2016 Jeep Wrangler, commonly known as the Wrangler JK, can be equipped with an optional 2.8L common-rail diesel four-cylinder engine. The common rail diesel (CRD) engine is produced by VM Motori Cento in Ferrara, Italy and produces excellent torque ratings that rival the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6. However, the Jeep Wrangler 2.8L diesel L4 promises increased fuel efficiency and increased fuel range. Diesel engine technology is more commonly accepted outside of the United States, and as a result the Jeep Wrangler cannot be equipped with the 2.8L CRD engine in the U.S.
