The K&N HA-3098 air filter like all K&N air filters are work horses. They typically provide longer service intervals and are designed to increase horsepower and acceleration.

Travis Horner, a K&N customer from Iowa wrote us, "I have installed the filter (K&N HA-3098) and have noticed a quicker throttle response and improved horsepower since adding this to my quad."

Calvin Crossland of Alberta, Canada also purchased an HA-3098. Crossland e-mailed K&N about the air filter, he wrote, "I have noticed a great deal of performance since I have added the filter. I have more bottom end power and top end."

K&N replacement air filters are washable and reusable. The K&N HA-3098 lasts up to 50,000 miles before cleaning is required, depending on driving conditions. As a rule, no ATV jet changes are required with just a K&N filter element.

Along with compression and fuel, air is a basic requirement for diesel engine operation, and large amounts of it! Volumetric efficiency varies with speed and load and the volume of air pumped into diesel engines increases the importance of air filtration, meaning removing dirt and other abrasives from incoming air.

For maximum efficiency, diesel air filter restriction should be less than 25 inches of water vacuum, compared to a gas motor which uses only 10 inches of water restriction. Since diesels work harder at pulling air into the engine this creates a greater opportunity for dirt and silicates to enter the engine. Dirt or silicates in the engine can cause severe damage, including cylinder wall wear.

K&N Provides Owners of the 2007, 2008 & 2009 Ford Mustang GT with an Option for More HP

One of the most wanted vehicles by consumers in 2005 is listed as the redesigned Ford Mustang GT with retro styling. There are color options, interior options and power options for every buyer.

When it comes to buying a new car, the selling term "options" means a whole lot more than satellite radio and a DVD video with surround sound. K&N Engineering has designed a custom aerodynamically engineered tube that gives the 2007, 2008 and 2009 Mustang GT even more power options.

Each K&N 63-2565 Intake Kit uses a hand designed high density polyethylene (a durable type of plastic) intake tube that is rotationally molded and virtually eliminates air path restriction by replacing the air filter and the entire air path to the engine. As the vehicle stops, the hydrocarbon gases that have not burned, along with the fuel that is still inside the intake manifold work back through the engine. K&N Air Intake Kit Provides a Power Boost for the 2003-2004 Toyota 4 Runner

If you own a 2003 or 2004 Toyota 4 Runner with a 4.7L engine you are in luck! K&N recently released a new 77-Series intake system, part number 77-9022KP, for the 2003-2004 Toyota 4 Runner which is guaranteed to provide more horsepower. In fact K&N tests have shown a horsepower gain of 12.77 HP @ 5007 RPM for this intake. You can especially feel this added power and torque when accelerating and when towing a load. This intake, like all other K&N intakes, was engineered specifically to work within the vehicle's computer specifications while maximizing power and allowing air to flow with little restriction. One noticeable design characteristic of this air intake is the reduction in diameter just before the mass air sensor. K&N Air Intake for 2006 Hummer H3 Provides More than 16HP Gain

Owners of a 2006 Hummer H3 with the 3.5L engine now have the opportunity to add 16HP with the addition of a K&N 77-Series Intake System. In testing at K&N this intake, part number 77-3044KP, provided a 16.46 HP gain at the real wheels when compared to the factory intake system. The intake is easy to install, requiring a few basic tools: socket set, two wrenches, a screw driver, and an Allen wrench.
