Brad and Roger Lovell put the hammer down at the XRRA finals in Colorado. The brothers visited the silt and rock track of Cortez for the final round of the western series.
Brad Lovell placed 4th and Roger Lovell placed 5th in the 2009 XRRA Western Series
The course was brutal and it devastated machinery all weekend long. Brad Lovell was only able to finish 8th after a crash broke his steering and nearly ripped a front wheel off. Roger Lovell fared much better and pulled off an amazing save after nearly rolling in a turn. After six solid runs Roger Lovell was elevated to a 2nd place finish, the best for his season.

Crash at Cortez, Colorado in XRRA western series race broke Roger Lovell's steering and nearly ripped off his front wheel
“We made repairs and fine tuned the trucks for Sunday’s race,” said Brad Lovell. “Then, it was time to hit the course again. This time we were determined not to make the same mistakes again.”
Brad Lovell took off in a battle for the lead with Shannon Campbell. Roger Lovell continued his strong performance and by noon, two of the top three spots were held by the Lovell brothers.
“Roger’s time deteriorated and he fell to 7th after facing muddy rocks from a watered course followed by a dug out climb,” said Lovell. “I raced forward and sparred with Campbell into the shootout.” The two brutal runs were an event heat between the rivals but Campbell’s faster times during regular competition gave him the edge. Brad Lovell handed the team another second place.
“We never have to worry about our K&N air filters,” said Lovell. “There is a lot of silt and fine dust on these courses and K&N Keeps the debris out of our engines and keeps our sensors from clogging up. There is also a slight taper to give us the clearance and flexibility we need on these difficult courses.”
Brad Lovell placed 4th overall in the 2009 series and Roger Lovell was 5th overall. The Lovell’s are on their way to the 1000 mile Vegas to Reno desert race on August 20th. The brothers will square off against 18 other unlimited mini trucks for victory in the longest point to point race in the United States.
BMW's X6 concept debuted in 2007 to what must have been a stunned audience. BMW created a new market segment with the X6. Calling it a "Sports Activity Coupe" should strike most people as odd. After all, it has four doors and a high SUV-type stance. Essentially, what BMW set out to do was combine the performance of the traditional coupe with the versatility of an SUV. A sloped roof line, 300 horsepower, all-wheel-drive, and seating for four is the result of BMW's labor. Equally earth shattering is the notion that a performance product can also be ecological, but this is exactly what K&N did 40 years ago.
Replacement air filter for BMW X6 3.0L
K&N has designed a washable and reusable lifetime air filter, part number 33-2428, for the 2008 through 2016 BMW X6 3.0L L6. The 33-2428 is made from cotton instead of paper and never needs to be replaced. K&N air filters provide less restriction than typical paper air filters, which can increase the efficiency of the combustion process, creating more horsepower and torque. The simple drop in design makes a K&N replacement air filter an easy and ecological performance add-on for your 2008 to 2016 BMW X6 3.0L L6.
K&N invented a special low-restriction air filter that is washable and reusable. Allowing your engine to breathe easier can give your car extra horsepower and extra acceleration that can come in handy, even during every day driving. 33-2428 will require cleaning every 50,000 miles under normal highway driving conditions. It will provide outstanding engine protection for the life of your vehicle, and since it never needs to be replaced, part number 33-2428 will help to reduce waste.
K&N stock replacement air filters for street vehicles are covered by our famous K&N Million Mile Limited Warranty and will be the last air filter your vehicle will ever need.
The 33-2428 replacement air filter will fit the following BMW models:

Two-time Grand Prix World Speedway Champion Jason Crump moved closer to his third world crown by finishing second at the Scandinavian Grand Prix at Malilla in Sweden. Poland’s Tomosz Gollob won the event, Danes Hans Andersen and Kenneth Bjerre finished third and fourth.
Two time World Speedway Grand Prix champion Jason Crump moved closer to his third World Championship crown at Malilla in Sweden
His two major rivals, Greg Hancock and Emil Sayfutdinov failed to make the cut for the semi-finals at the start of the 2009 FIM Nordicbet Scandinavian Grand Prix. Crump started in third place behind Gollob and
Denmark's Kenneth Bjerre in heat 4, but managed to score 11 points in the heats and also raced to victory in the second semi-final from the inside starting position.
Riders fought a difficult track because of wet weather and mud in the early stages of the 2009 FIM Nordicbet Scandinavian Grand Prix at Malilla in Sweden
Australian Jason Crump, Poland's Tomasz Gollob and Denmark's Hans Andersen on the podium at the Scandinavian Grand Prix at Malilla in Sweden
He made some lightning starts and passed Sayfudinov for second place in heat 12. The mud was flying on a wet night in Malilla and there were some tricky conditions in the early stages of the race.
“In my sport filtration is the most important thing for reliability,” said Crump. “Reliability wins me races and World Championships and that is why I rely on K&N motorcycle air filters. I race on the dirt and keeping the dirt out of the engines is critical along with letting my engines breathe for maximum performance.”
Crump’s lead is now a commanding 35 points. The 34-year-old Australian continues to dominate this year’s World Championship after maintaining his perfect record of seven finals from seven Grand Prix events in 2009. “Winning World Championships is all about consistency and my focus has been on getting to each final,” said Crump. “At this stage, all is going to plan and I hope that I maintain that consistency.”
After seven rounds the 2009 World Championship top 5 Standings are:
Australian Jason Crump at 126 points
Poland’s Tomasz Gollob at 91 points
American Greg Hancock at 87 points
Russian Emil Sayfutdinov at 82 points
Sweden’s Andreas Jonsson at 71 points
“The championship is still far from over so I am not putting claim to anything at this point,” said Crump. “I just need to avoid injury, keep my bikes running and stay focused on the job ahead of me. I will be giving it my best right to the end.”
Crump’s next race will be on August 29 in the Nordis Grand Prix at Vojens in Denmark.
